What You Need to Know about Universal's Epic Universe

Universal's Epic Universe is here! And it is changing everything! Let's break down what you can expect, what you can't miss, and the vacation strategy you need before you go!

Epic Universe opened in May of 2025. It is a beautiful park, and the most immersive theme park in Orlando. Celestial Park serves as the hub to access the four lands that are currently developed. Each land features dining, shopping, character interactions, and attractions.

• Super Nintendo Land is bright and loud. You feel as though you have literally stepped into the game! PowerUp bands are available for sale which allow you to participate in the interactive elements of this land.

• Dark Universe features the original Universal Monsters- Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Ygor, the Invisible Man. The elements in this area feel as though you have walked directly into Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

• How to Train Your Dragon- Isle of Berk is my favorite. This land is absolutely beautiful. I will neither confirm nor deny that I cried meeting Toothless. Dragons are present everywhere here. Baby dragons, sleeping dragons, and dragons that fly!

• Ministry of Magic is the latest Wizarding World of Harry Potter. You can wander the streets of 1920s Paris and finally witness Dolores Umbridge on trial at The Battle for the Ministry.

There are a few important notes regarding how to experience this park. It is located a short bus ride from the original Universal Orlando Parks. There are three Loew's Universal Hotels located within walking distance to this park. Terra Luna and Stella Nova resorts are budget friendly, themed resorts. With similar features to the Endless Summer Resorts, these are decorated with a galactic theme. Helios is the Loews Signature hotel. It has a dedicated entrance to Epic Universe which is great for a midday park break. While booking these hotels will grant you early access to all Universal Theme Parks. Unlike Loews other Signature Resort Hotels Portofino Bay, Hard Rock Hotel, or Royal Pacific, you will not receive an Unlimited Express Pass with your stay.

Universal Express Passes are not available for Epic Universe. You can and should purchase Express Pass for your travelling party to experience Epic Universe. This is an extra, but necessary cost if you want to be able to experience all that Epic Universe has to offer. Let's discuss ticket strategy for Universal Orlando. Epic Universe is included in the Park to Park tickets. I recommend my clients purchase either four day park to park tickets or five day if they want to experience Volcano Bay. You should plan on spending at least one full day at Epic Universe. You will want to decide on that date ahead of time so that you can purchase those Universal Express Passes which will be date based.
